Here are the details to our Family Fun Day 🥰
Details:
Date: Sunday, 21st May 2023
Time: 09:30-12:30. Please meet at the pavillion meeting point at 9:30am. Briefing will start at 9:30am sharp! See below for directions.
Location: Lions Nature Education Centre
Cost: $180 / child
Ages: 4-12
Parent supervision: Required
Medium of instruction: Chinese and English

Activities:
Team orienteering 🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️
We will have orienteering missions where families work in groups to find certain locations. Can you find all the check points?
Photo hunt 📷
Teams will be given missions to complete. Some of these missions will involve finding specific animals, insects and plants. Can you complete the hunt?
Educational activities 📝
Children will learn some things about nature, insect and animals during their mission.
Physical fun and games 👾
We will have physical games for childen and for adults 🏃♂️🫣 This is where you and your kids might get a little sweaty. Are you ready to get your sweat on?
Find Babington Bear & Family
Babington Bear and his family will be hiding in the park. How many can your team find?
Goodie bags 🎊
Goodie bags will be handed out to all children at the end of the day.
Free gift 🎁
There will be a free gift to all children and adults.
Lunch 🍔
Lunch is not provided, however, there is a canteen called Deaf Cafeteria and it is a social enterprise servising people who are hairing impaired. See the FAQ for their lunch menu.

Terms and conditions
Definitions: Babington refers to Babington Education Organisation Limited and any businesses operating under the Babington Education brand name.
Activities may change without notice.
Parent supervision is required. There will be physical activities, and parents are responsible for their child's health and safety at all times.
Cancellations: In case of any cancellations, the following rules will apply:
Cancellation by Babington: A full refund will be offered
Cancellation by participant: No refund will be offered
Cancellation due to severe weather: A full refund will be offered
Babington will contact participants directly to confirm the event 3 days before the event date.
Minimum enrolment must be met to confirm the event. In the event of insufficient enrolment, the fee will be refunded in full within 5 working days.
By signing up for this event, you, Babington and any related staff members from liability due to any losses, damages or injuries caused to the participant.
BEOL reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without notice and reserves the right to the final say in case of any disputes.
How to get there by bus
Take the following public transportation, get off at the Pak Kong bus stop and then walk to the Centre. (i) KMB bus no. 92 Diamond Hill MTR station - Sai Kung (ii) KMB bus no. 96R Diamond Hill MTR station - Wong Shek Pier (only available on Sundays and public holidays) (iii) NWFB bus no. 792M Tsueng Kwan O MTR station to Sai Kung (iv) Green mini-bus no. 1 Telford Garden - Sai Kung (v) Green mini-bus no. 1A Choi Hung MTR station - Sai Kung (vi) Green mini-bus no. 12 Po Lam - Sai Kung (vii) Green mini-bus no. 101M Hang Hau MTR station - Sai Kung
Car park
There is a AFCD free public car partk which opens from 8am. It is offered on a first come first served bases. Reservations cannot be made. If you are parking, we advise you to arrive earlier.

Lunch
There is a very small canteen that serves basic food.

More information can be found on the canteen's website.
What do I need to bring?
The event is an outdoor even tin mid May, so you are advised to bring:
1. Water bottle
2. Insect repellant
3. Food, lunch and snacks if you do not want to eat at the canteen
4. Change of clothes in case your child gets sweaty.
5. Phone. You should also bring a phone as there will be a photo hunting activity.
6. Hat. Bring a hat in case it is sunny, though weather forecast shows it is a cloudy day.
7. Wet wipes and disinfectants. There are toilets in the park but wet wipes and disinfectants will be useful and convenient.
Snacks
We will be providing each child with a simple snack and drink after the activity. This is included in the fee.
What to wear
Wear comfortable and cool clothes and comfortable shoes like sports trainers.
What will adults be doing?
Adults will be supervising their child in the group. This means they will be walking around the park with their child in their group with other families. There is also a family game that involves the adults too. Adults may also get sweaty. 😅
Is there a water fountain?
There is a cold filter water machine in the park where you can refill your water.
Is there an indoor area?
There is an air-conditioned small indoor canteen with seats. There are also air-conditioned indoor exhibition halls though there are no seats in these.
The Meeting Point and How to get there by MTR and minibus
Take the MTR to Choi Hung and head to exit C2.

After exit, look for the minibus 1A on your left.

Get off the minibus at the Lion Club stop. It looks like this:

Once you get off the minibus walk down the single path and after 2 minutes, you will see this brown wooden information board on your left. The meeting point is the pavillion shown below by the red arrow.
