Installation and Operation
Video-monitoring facilities are installed in all Babington Education Centres operating in 24-hour automatic mode
Surveillance cameras are located in classrooms, common areas, reception areas, entrances and exits

To safeguard Babington's assets, properties and other legitimate interests
To protect employees' and students' safety and other legitimate interests
To appraise employees and students' behaviour
To facilitate academic and research activities
To collect data regarding activities held on campus
Personal Data Collected
All images captured by cameras, corresponding dates and times are recorded automatically by video-monitoring facilities
Use of Data
Designated Babington personnel have the right to access collected data for the stated purposes
Personnel with Data Access
Security monitoring personnel are authorised to observe immediate records only; they are prohibited from retrieving past records
Only designated Babington personnel may view and retrieve both immediate and past records
All personnel must observe the rules in this statement and keep all data confidential
In disciplinary investigations, relevant data may be transferred to responsible personnel
In criminal investigations, data must be passed to relevant competent authorities upon their request
Data Retention Period
Data is generally retained for less than one month after investigation and/or trial verdict completion
