COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Cambridge YLE programme is designed to assess the English language skills of children. It is suitable for children from K1 – P5. The Cambridge English: Young Learners (YLE) exams are available at three assessment levels (Starters, Movers and Flyers) that encourage children to work through by monitoring their progress. There are no pass or fail grades since every child is rewarded for their own effort.

MATERIALS
The Cambridge YLE programme uses the University of Cambridge ESOL examinations approved text books. These materials incur an extra cost.

CERTIFICATE
Children will be awarded a certificate issued by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations after completing the exam.
COURSE STRUCTURE
There are 4 levels in the programme:

Pre-Starters
Level 1: Kid’s Box 1

For K1-K2

40 lessons. (9 months)

Introduces basic English vocabulary and reinforces it through a variety of mediums – audio, video, reading, writing and group activities.
Level 2: Primary Colours 1

For K2-K3

30 lessons (7 months)

Children will be introduced to short sentence writing, and will be taught simple grammar and sentence structures.

40 lessons (9 months)

Introduces practical use of English vocabulary and grammar to further enhance learner’s English, and reinforces it through a variety of mediums – audio, video, reading, writing and group activities.
Level 4: Primary Colours 2

30 lessons (7 months)

Returning to Primary Colour, the saga around the adventure car continues, with more demanding exercises and increased difficulty in reading and listening
