Sam and Jasmine explore an old, spooky house that everyone in town thinks is haunted! What do you think they will find inside?

In a small town, an old, abandoned house is rumoured to be haunted. No one is brave enough to go near it. However, one day, Sam and Jasmine decide to investigate the haunted house.
‘Do you think we will see a ghost?’ asks Jasmine.
‘There is no such thing as ghosts!’ laughs Sam.
Sam and Jasmine step into the house, and Sam calls, ‘Hello?’ No one answers. The house is filled with dusty chairs and pictures. Suddenly, they hear a whisper. ‘Play with me...’ Sam and Jasmine jump from the scare. They follow the whisper down to a hidden room in the basement.
To their surprise, they find not a ghost but a parrot in the hidden room, repeating ‘Play with me!’ over and over. They spot a small, dusty box under a couch. Inside, they discover a diary belonging to a little girl who once lived in the house. The diary reveals that she had a heart illness and spent most of her time indoors, with the parrot as her best friend, playing together in this room.
The haunted house mystery turns out to be simply a parrot! Sam and Jasmine are relieved to discover the truth.
