Subject: A New Friend in England!

Dear Grandma,
I hope you’re well and enjoying your lovely garden. I I want to tell you about the wonderful friends I’ve made here in England!

One of my friends is Jane. She has curly red hair that looks like autumn leaves. She has big blue eyes, just like the sky on a sunny day. Jane laughs a lot. When she laughs, everyone around can hear and join in her happiness. Every time she talks, it’s with a soft and melodic voice that’s calming. Jane always wears bright yellow rubber boots, even when it’s not raining. She pairs them with dresses that have flower patterns, making her look like a garden in full bloom.

Jane often hums tunes from her favourite songs. Sometimes, she breaks into a dance if she feels particularly happy. We often play in the park together. She loves telling me stories about her big fluffy cat, Mr Whiskers. She promises to bring him to school one day, and I can’t wait to meet him!

I think you would like Jane. I promise to write more about my other friends soon.
